Codemasters F1 Game Wishlist

The F1 license was snapped up by Codemasters in 2008, details are vague about what to expect in the upcoming game based on the official F1 2009 season. Having been a proud owner of Sony’s Formula 1 Championship Edition, matter of fact it was the first game I bought for PS3, there’s somethings I want from the new game, things that F1CE had and somethings it hadn’t, let’s get to that list:

• Team Creation – Players have the abilty to create their own racing team complete with the choosing of an engine supplier and if chassis would also be purchased or designed in-house. Also sponsorship hunting and driver recruiting.
• Season Stats Rollover – One issue I had with F1CE is that after each season the stats would reset, meaning if you took Toyota to 2nd in constructors championship the next season they’ll start 4th which was the position they started the 2006 season. Same with drivers
• F1 Team Live – A term which I refer to as the continual update of teams during the season. As teams introduce new aero parts and revisions throughout the year these parts should be offered as FREE DLC.
• F1 2009 Replay – This feature would be useful for those people who missed a race on TV, race data can be downloaded and mapped to in-game cars and have the actual race replay mimicking everything as it happened in the live race.
• Interactive Pitstops – Similar to that of F1CE, also a minigame where players can practise pitstops
• Classics – Like as in F1CE but with the ability to race them and not just time trials.
• Online Seasons – a group of players come together and contest a full season online, each team would have a reserve driver as to replace a player that couldn’t make the race.

I’m sure they’ll be many other things players would want in this upcoming game, the highest on their list is most likey for the the game physics to be nothing like DiRT of Grid but more like a true simulation racer.
